Collaboration with LongMem Technology

In 2025, NLCT formed a strategic partnership with Jiangsu Longmem Technology — a high-tech enterprise founded in 2018 and headquartered in Changzhou, China, specializing in high-end separation membrane manufacturing, digital-intelligent system design, equipment production, and turnkey project construction.

This alliance unites the complementary strengths of both parties — NLCT's proprietary membrane technologies and Longmem's advanced manufacturing capabilities and market reach — creating a powerful platform to accelerate new product development, drive industrialization, and fast-track the launch of next-generation membrane solutions to global markets.

Fortune Global 500 Licensee Reached Multiple Production Milestones

A Fortune Global 500 licensee has demonstrated commercial-scale plant capacity in continuous operation — validating NLCT's membrane technology against the most demanding production standards in the industry.  In independent water treatment deployments, NLCT's NF and RO elements have consistently met or exceeded the performance of the world's leading membrane brands. In a landmark application, NF elements were successfully deployed in a large-scale municipal landfill leachate treatment facility — with produced water quality approved by the relevant regulatory authority and flux performance surpassing that of world-class competitors. NLCT's BWRO elements have also been adopted across multiple industrial wastewater treatment plants serving petrochemical production and refining operations — delivering stable, high-performance water reclamation across demanding feed conditions.

Dr. Norman Li Received Inaugural Distinguished Contribution Award

In July 2025, Beijing hosted the 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE12) and the 21st Asia Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering Congress (APCChE 2025) — one of the most significant gatherings in the global chemical engineering calendar. The joint congress brought together leading scientists, industry executives, and business leaders from 66 countries across six continents to address paradigm-shifting challenges and opportunities in chemical engineering worldwide. At a ceremonial highlight of the congress, the organizing committee presented the inaugural Award for Distinguished Contribution to Chemical Engineering Society to Academician Norman Li — recognizing his lifetime of contributions to the advancement of the global chemical industry, his commitment to international academic exchange, and his unwavering pursuit of excellence in scientific research.

Successful Turnkey Transfer to A Private Corporation

In 2010, NLCT partnered with a private environmental protection high-tech corporation to execute a full technology transfer — introducing complete membrane sheet and element production lines alongside multiple water treatment membrane technologies, and supporting the client in building a manufacturing facility from the ground up.

The transferred technology achieved NSF certification, and the results speak for themselves. Today, the client has grown into a leading enterprise in the global water treatment membrane industry. Their membrane products are now deployed in more than 100 countries worldwide, spanning applications from seawater and brackish water desalination and zero liquid discharge to water reclamation, materials concentration, and specialty separation.
